Fundraising Hits £1.5k

Been a while since I’ve updated you all on our fundraising efforts and you’ll be glad to hear that even though I may have been quiet on the blogging front of late we haven’t been quiet on the fundraising front and have now smashed through the £1.5k barrier!

At the time of writing this post our fundraising total now proudly sits at a whopping £1,582.00 with a further guaranteed £260.00 to come in from Robbie! Once I receive the money from Robbie I’ll update the total accordingly.

We set our targets high this year based on the tremendous efforts last year and so far we’re just under half way towards reaching that total. It’s a tall ask but if you don’t aim high in life you’ll never succeed!

Claremont Parish ChurchOnce again this year we’ve been supported by my dad’s Church, Claremont Parish Church who’ve just handed over £312.00 kindly donated by their members.

Every year the members of Claremont Parish Church rally round, dig deep and support our fundraising work for the Beatson Cancer Charity. To date the members have handed over well in excess of £1,000!

A big thank you also has to go to Willie Rosling and Polmadie Fire Station who’ve also just handed over £61.00. Every year the station fundraise for their own chosen charity but this year they had money left over and kindly donated it to our fundraising efforts. This year they decided to hike to the most remote pub in Scotland!

John Stewart appeared at my house last night with sponsor money totalling £134.00 he collected from family, friends and work colleagues, and that’s not to mention those who donated via our Just Giving Page.

A huge thank you must go to all those who’ve supported us through the years and dug deep into their pockets to support this wonderful charity.

Next event for 4 of the Warriors is the Tour of the Shire, 101 mile Sportive and again we’re looking for you guys to dig deep and spare any loose change you have. Doesn’t matter how small the donation, it all builds up very quickly!
